Advocate Health seeks a Civil Rights Compliance Specialist to coordinate investigations and resolutions of discrimination in service delivery, and to manage data for the Civil Rights program. The role is fully remote for many states, including Ohio, with a 40-hour work week.

You will lead investigations, assess risk, document cases, and support regulatory reporting, language access, and staff training across departments, collaborating with Clinical Risk and Patient Experience teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in civil rights, disability rights, investigations, or healthcare compliance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for complex civil rights matters.

Responsabilités

• Support and conduct the investigation and resolution of lower-moderate acuity civil rights and language access complaints, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Identify, analyze, mitigate and prevent risk related to civil rights concerns.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of complaints, investigations, and resolutions.
• Lead tracking, analysis, and reporting of civil rights and language access complaints for enterprise insights.
• Coordinate collection and validation of patient demographic data to support regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to development and submission of compliance plans and trainings.
• Participate in enterprise-wide committees related to civil rights and equity.
• Monitor files and documentation for audits and regulatory alignment.
• Support maintenance of civil rights SharePoint site and tools.
• Apply knowledge of ADA, Section 1557, Title VI, CMS requirements.
• Collaborate with Clinical Risk, Patient Experience, Teammate Relations, and Patient Advocacy teams.
