Job summary

First American is hiring remote Appraisers nationwide to support our valuation services team. Conduct unbiased property assessments, analyze data, and develop value estimates following government, company, and client guidelines. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Minimum 0-1 years in mortgage/appraisal settings; active license or certification required. The role offers flexible, remote work and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 0-1 years of related experience with a mortgage and/or appraisal company.
• Active Appraiser license or certification as required by state's regulatory agency.
• Ability to work within varying client-driven deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to summarize results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conducts unbiased, impartial assessments of market areas and data to develop property value estimates.
• Documents on-site assessments with photos, measurements, and demographic information.
• Draws land diagrams and visual documentation.
• Generates fee quotes and presents final evaluations to clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with Lead Appraiser to improve processes and reduce rejections.
• Participates in monthly Appraiser meetings and meets turn time expectations.
