Ideal candidates hold a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC) and have at least one year of experience. Remote work follows the approved states list, and the role offers a day shift schedule with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices is required.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC) or AAPC certification is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records across settings.
• Review medical records for documentation deficiencies and ensure accurate reflections of diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of charges, medical necessity, and timely follow-up on accounts on hold.
• Abstract clinical data to meet regulatory and compliance requirements; maintain data integrity.
