Logan Health is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder for a remote, full-time role. The position involves assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records, abstracting data for tracking and reimbursement, and handling billing for client databases.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of coding experience and holds a national coding certificate, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD 10 CM and CPT 4 coding guidelines and practices is required.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC) is required.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Ability to learn software and use Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records across varied patient types.
• Abstract essential data elements for tracking, reporting and reimbursement.
• Handle billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Ensure accuracy of charges and medical necessity for tests and procedures; communicate with providers and hospital staff as needed.
• Follow coding guidelines and comply with Federal and State regulations.
