Logan Health, a growing health system, is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to join the remote coding team. The role focuses on accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding for outpatient records, with data abstraction for reporting and reimbursement.

Ideal candidates have a nationally recognized coding certificate and at least one year of coding experience. The position offers full-time remote work and a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/ CCS/ CPC or AAPC) required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn other software.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records and various site types.
• Abstracts data elements for tracking, reporting, and reimbursement.
• Handles billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Reviews medical records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Ensures coding guidelines and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Coordinates with departments to ensure accurate documentation and billing.
