Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Certified Coder to review CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding for physician visits and procedures, ensuring documentation supports codes and optimal reimbursement.

The role collaborates with Insurance Claims Specialists and Patient Account Representatives to address coding questions. This full-time role includes a remote-flex schedule (40 hrs/week) with hours 6am–8pm, Monday–Friday, and a base in Westerville, OH.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a certified coder
• Required: High School diploma or GED
• Required: Certification from AAPC or AHIMA for Medical Coding
• Required: Maintain coding certification

Responsibilities

• Review physician progress notes for necessary documentation prior to locking notes.
• Verify coding accuracy and apply required modifiers before submission.
• Assist in coding queries with Revenue Cycle and support education for physicians.
• Contribute to appeals with Insurance Claims Specialists when needed.
