Qualifications

• One of the following certifications is required or equivalent: CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC-H, CCP, COC/COC-A, CIC/CIC-A.
• High school diploma or medical office technology background preferred with CPC or CCS-P.
• Certification copies must be provided.

Responsibilities

• Review complex clinical documentation and diagnostic results to assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses, CPT procedures, and modifiers for services.
• Work with insurance and government payers to obtain appropriate retroactive authorizations based on surgical services.
• Adhere to organization policies including Quality Assurance, Remote Working, and Productivity standards.
