Job summary

AAPC is seeking a Certified Coder to review CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding for physician visits and procedures. The role ensures documentation supports codes and that modifiers are applied for optimal reimbursement. You will aid Claims Specialists with appeals and assist Patient Accounts with coding questions.

Full-Time with a remote-flex schedule; 40 hours weekly, hours between 6am–8pm, Monday–Friday. Remote/Westerville, OH area; requires ongoing coding certification and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a certified coder.
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA for Medical Coding is required.
• Maintain coding certification as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Review physician progress notes for documentation to support codes.
• Ensure proper modifiers and correct codes before submission.
• Assist Physicians and Revenue Cycle with coding queries and education.
• Collaborate with Insurance Claims and Patient Accounts on coding questions.
