Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI Reviewer to join our Nursing CDI team. You will perform initial, concurrent and retrospective reviews of clinical documentation, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs, and collaborate with providers to capture accurate information. This role emphasizes quality improvement and ongoing professional development.

RN licensure, CCDS and CDIP certifications are required or pursued within specified timelines; remote work is available for eligible states including Indiana.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts basic to intermediate initial, concurrent and retrospective reviews of clinical documentation for admissions.
• Assigns and updates ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs; reviews and documents in the CDI system.
• Identifies documentation gaps and queries providers to capture accurate clinical details.
• Reviews denials and writes first and second level appeals with physician advisor.
• Participates in staff training and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintains professional development through webinars and online courses.
• Achieves CDI quality and productivity goals.
