Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI Specialist RN to advance clinical documentation integrity across hospital operations. You will review and code, collaborate with physicians, and lead denial prevention initiatives.

The role requires RN licensure, CDI/CCDS/CDIP credentials within 2 years, ICU/critical care experience, and strong communication. Remote work options exist for eligible states, including Utah.

Qualifications

• 3 years of ICU/critical care experience
• 1 year in clinical documentation integrity preferred

Responsibilities

• Complete basic to intermediate CDI reviews and appeals.
• Collaborate with physician advisor on appeals and denial tracking.
• Perform mortality reviews and rounds.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG baselines.
• Query providers to clarify documentation when needed.
• Review clinical documentation for admissions and abstract data.
• Communicate with coders to ensure correct DRG.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement.
• Meet CDI quality and productivity goals.
