Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI RN to review clinical documentation for admissions, perform initial and retrospective coding, and collaborate with physician advisors on denials and appeals. The role emphasizes accurate DRG assignment and ongoing professional development.

The candidate should have RN licensure, ICU/CCU experience, and pursue CCDS or CDIP within 2 years. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced care environment.

Formación

• RN licensed in state or compact state.
• 3 years of clinical ICU/critical care experience.
• CCDS or CDIP certification: required within 2 years.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct basic to intermediate clinical documentation reviews for admissions.
• Assign and update ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs.
• Identify documentation gaps and query providers to capture accurate information.
• Review denials and assist with first/second level appeals with physician advisor.
• Collaborate with coders to ensure correct DRG assignment and participate in audits.
• Engage in staff training and quality improvement activities.
