Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI Reviewer to work under supervision to complete basic to intermediate CDI reviews, query providers, and participate in first and second appeal levels. The role involves mortality reviews, DRG assignment, and collaboration with the coding and medical teams to ensure accurate documentation.

The candidate should have an RN license and nursing education with ICU experience, and will engage in ongoing professional development and unit-based quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• 3 years of clinical ICU/critical care experience required.
• 1 year of experience in clinical documentation integrity functions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to intermediate CDI reviews of clinical documentation for admissions and record findings.
• Assign and update ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG based on guidelines.
• Identify documentation gaps and query providers to capture accurate data.
• Review denials and assist with first/second level appeals with physician advisor.
