Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a CDI CDI reviewer to perform basic to intermediate clinical documentation reviews. You will collaborate with physician advisors on appeals and mortality reviews, ensuring accurate coding and strong documentation.

The role requires RN licensure and CDI certification within two years. The position emphasizes professional development, team collaboration, and adherence to Official Coding Guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required/compact state licensure depending on location.
• At least 3 years clinical experience in ICU/Critical Care.
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) required within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRG classifications.
• Identify documentation gaps and query providers to improve records.
• Perform initial, concurrent, and retrospective CDI reviews and appeals.
• Collaborate with physicians and other teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation.
• Participate in staff training and quality improvement initiatives.
