Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing and supplier management for transportation, fleet, and related logistics services. This remote role can be located anywhere in the United States and reports to the Director of Supply Management.

You will develop category strategies, lead negotiations, and manage supplier performance while partnering with internal clients and finance teams to optimize cost, service, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in a large organization.
• Professional certifications (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM) preferred.
• Experience managing third-party spend and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through contracting.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
• Analyze spend and opportunities to improve cost, service, and risk.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and business requirements; build business cases.
• Define KPIs, service levels, governance for suppliers; monitor performance.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain category governance and reporting.
