Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services for its Supply Chain organization. This remote role can be located anywhere in the United States and focuses on managing transportation, fleet, and courier logistics services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Management or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in third‑party spend management or category management.
• Experience with large organizational spend and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for logistics services (transportation, fleet, courier).
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to contracting and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and business needs to drive value.
• Track cost savings, service improvements, and risk management.
• Establish KPIs and governance for supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Risk teams on sourcing decisions.
• Provide timely reporting on strategies and supplier performance.
