Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services, a remote role within the United States, to lead sourcing across transportation, fleet, and courier services. You will develop category strategies, lead supplier negotiations, and drive improvements in cost, service, and risk.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, you will partner with internal clients and suppliers to deliver measurable value while managing supplier performance and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field (or equivalent) required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience; experience managing third-party spend in a large organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy through contracting and implementation.
• Develop strategies and lead negotiations for contracts and pricing while managing risk.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities to improve total cost and service.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional teams to align on sourcing initiatives.
