Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to lead sourcing and supplier-management across transportation, fleet, couriers, and related services. You will develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and drive cost, service, and risk improvements.

The role requires strong collaboration with internal clients and cross-functional teams, with a focus on measurable value delivery and governance. This is a national remote position within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent; experience managing third-party spend.
• Professional certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for logistics services; manage spend and supplier relationships.
• Lead complex sourcing from strategy to contracting and implementation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing; manage risk and terms.
• Analyze spend, cost drivers, and market conditions to drive savings.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk and Analytics for sourcing decisions.
• Define KPIs and governance; monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal clients to align sourcing with needs.
• Maintain category governance documentation and reporting.
