Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Category Manager, Logistics Services to own category strategies for transportation, fleet and couriers. Located anywhere in the United States, you will lead sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance to improve cost, service, and risk.

You will partner with internal clients and cross-functional teams, deliver measurable value, and ensure governance and reporting across the logistics category in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience managing third-party spend within a large organization preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred; professional certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Category Strategy & Planning: develop and execute strategies for logistics services with stakeholders.
• Strategic Sourcing: lead complex sourcing from strategy to contracting and implementation.
• Negotiation & Commercial Management: lead contract negotiations with favorable terms.
• Cost, Value & Performance Improvement: drive cost savings and supplier performance.
• Analysis & Business Cases: evaluate spend, market conditions, and business needs.
• Supplier Management & Performance: set KPIs and governance; drive improvements.
• Stakeholder Management: align internal clients and cross-functional teams.
• Category Governance & Reporting: document activities and report KPIs and risks.
