Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator in a remote role that can work from anywhere in the United States, with Hawaii and Alaska as exceptions. The role handles low-to-moderate auto liability claims, including first- and third-party cases, and involves investigation, negotiation, and settlement within authority levels.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills, plus 2+ years in claims and a related BA/BS or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business/insurance or related field plus experience.
• 2+ years of claims-related experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in team settings
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours

Responsibilities

• Handle first and third party auto liability claims with exposure under 50,000.
• Investigate, negotiate, and settle claims within authority.
• Communicate with insureds, attorneys, and vendors in writing or phone.
• Make coverage determinations and advise on proper action.
• Support catastrophic events and small claims resolutions as needed.
• Manage productivity via designated queues and maintain case documentation.
• May appear at settlement conferences or trials as needed.
