Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work in a virtual environment with option to work in an office setting.
• Manage communications in writing, by telephone and by email.
• Serve as Owning/Adjuster when injury exposure is identified.
• Handle mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims involving injury.
• May handle 1st party Medical Payment and PIP.
• Assist in catastrophes including simple homeowner losses.
• Handle, investigate, negotiate, settle and resolve injury claims under $50,000.
• Manage productivity by seeking assignments via queues in the claims system.
• Triage is self-managed and not automated.
• Make coverage determinations and advise on appropriate actions.
• Conduct complex investigative work (interviews, evidence, medical records).
• Occasionally represent insureds at settlements, arbitrations, or depositions.
• Evaluate subrogation potential and initiate subrogation notice.
• Make final settlement decisions within authority and negotiate cases.
