Qualifications

• 2+ years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Handle mostly simple to moderate auto liability claims involving injury with unrepresented and attorney-represented claimants.
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on proper action for coverage issues.
• Investigate, negotiate, settle and resolve injury claims with exposure under $50,000.
• Triages work, manages communications by writing, phone, and email.
• Support small claims and catastrophe-related activities as needed.
• Occasionally represent insureds and the company at settlement conferences, arbitrations, or trials.
• Assist in testing and calibration of subrogation processes.
• Present cases in committee and negotiate settlements without supervisor approval.
