Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Casualty Evaluator to join a remote-first claims team. The role involves owning auto liability cases with exposure up to $50,000, handling first and third-party claims across multiple states, and supporting small claims and catastrophes as needed.

The successful candidate will triage, investigate, negotiate, and settle cases with strong customer service, independent decision making, and willingness to work extended hours as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience
• 2 years of claims experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Ability to successfully complete training courses pertinent to job duties.
• Developing understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements
• Developing understanding of AAA claims policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assigned as owning adjuster when injury exposure is identified.
• Handles both represented and unrepresented first and third-party cases appropriate for resolution with an independent settlement limit of up to $50,000.
• Handles claims in multiple states including licensed states and statutory states (OK license required).
• Handles Homeowner liability low complexity property damage claims.
• Supports the claims organization by handling Small Claims related matters to conclusion.
