Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator in a remote-capable role, supporting across multiple states. You will own and adjust injury-exposure files, investigate claims, negotiate settlements, and determine coverage decisions with timely action and client communication.

The role requires 2+ years of claims experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment, with occasional travel or extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours as needed.
• BA/BS in business, insurance or related area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims involving injury.
• Conduct investigative work including documents, witnesses, and medical records.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authority; develop negotiating strategies.
• Make coverage determinations and advise on actions for coverage issues.
• Assist in catastrophes and handle first‑party Medical Payments (PIP) when needed.
• May represent insureds at settlements, arbitrations, or trials in rare cases.
