Job summary

Reserv is seeking highly organized and customer-focused Cargo Claims Adjusters to join our remote team. The successful candidate will speak to customers on the phone, educate and help them work through their claim to the best possible outcome.

You will also manage an inventory of claims, triage critical claims, and deliver service to all constituents of the claim. The ideal candidate has a willingness and experience to work with all parties attendant to a claim to quickly achieve optimal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; other qualifications may override.
• Minimum of 5 years in commercial cargo claims, ideally tractor trailer.
• Active adjuster license required: resident or DHS license.
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and procedures.
• Commercial cargo claims experience is essential.
• Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions per guidelines.
• Curiosity and problem-solving mindset; willingness to learn.
• Desire to engage in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous service to policyholders and claimants; respond to inquiries and initiate investigations.
• Gather information to initiate the claim and explain policy coverage and actions.
• Manage an inventory of claims; establish reserves and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and assist with rental reimbursement.
• Identify subrogation, salvage, and total loss opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and SOPs.
• Negotiate settlements within approved authority with involved parties.
• Contribute to ongoing claims guidelines and process improvements.
• Oversee external investigators and work with clients and counsel.
• Engage in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of personal lines and changes in policy.
