Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Minute Clinic Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner for a 6-month PRN contract. This remote role requires 20+ hours/week, including some weekends, and active, unrestricted licensure in any US state.

You will deliver holistic, evidenced-based care to patients aged 18 months and older via a remote platform, collaborating with a dedicated team. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, patient counseling, and disposition planning, plus documenting care in an EHR

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted licensure in any US state/district.
• Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience or equivalent.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously.
• Proficient with information management and technology.
• Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues to provide quality care.
• Spanish language proficiency may be required in some markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidenced-based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition planning for patients 18 months and older.
• Evaluate primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients and educate patients.
• Provide contraception counseling and STI prevention and safer sex practices.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to inquiries.
• Document all patient care within an EHR per CVS policies.
• Coordinate care with internal and external colleagues to ensure high standard of care.
• Work within a patient care team with Providers, physicians, paraprofessionals, pharmacists and others.
• Work independently, prioritize, solve problems, and advocate for patients.

Education

Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification
