Job summary

CVS Health is expanding access to care through MinuteClinic's Virtual Care nurses. As a PRN Family Nurse Practitioner, you’ll deliver holistic, evidence-based care remotely to patients aged 18 months and up, collaborating with a dedicated team while maintaining high standards of privacy, quality, and safety.

This 6-month contract requires an active US license, at least two years of experience, and the ability to work 20+ hours weekly, including some weekends.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted licensure in any US state.
• Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Initiative, problem solving, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously.
• Proficiency with information management and technology.
• Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues.
• Spanish language proficiency may be required in some markets.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidenced based care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling.
• Evaluate primary and acute/ chronically ill patients and provide education.
• Counsel on contraception and STI prevention and medication management.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to inquiries.
• Document care in an electronic health record (EHR).
• Coordinate care with internal and external colleagues.
• Work with care teams including physicians, pharmacists, and others.
• Work independently and advocate for patients.
