Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Care Manager for a fully remote contract-to-hire role. The position supports patient and provider communications, insurance eligibility verification, and copay assistance enrollment across a healthcare client base.

Responsibilities include handling calls, benefit investigations, and prior authorizations with careful attention to detail. Ideal candidates have at least two years in pharmacy or medical billing, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum two years experience in pharmacy, medical billing, insurance verification, and/or similar healthcare work; includes J-code and HCPCS.
• Customer Service experience in healthcare.
• Healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all inbound and outbound calls to patients and providers.
• Single point of contact communication with providers and patients in a designated geographical area.
• Contact insurance companies to perform benefit investigation and coverage eligibility for client product.
• Assist with prior authorizations with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Assist patients with enrollment for copay assistance programs from manufacturers or non-profits.
• Provide courteous, friendly, professional and efficient service to internal and external customers including physicians and patients.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training activities.
• Work efficiently both individually and within a team to accomplish tasks.
• Maintain and improve quality by adhering to standards and recommending improved procedures.
• Eligibility authorization and enrollment into Patient Assistance Program(s).
• Verify insurance requirements to support current billing processes.
• Demonstrate understanding of medical billing processes and communicate knowledge to customers.
• Identify and provide corrective action for medical billing reimbursement for provider offices.
