Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a remote Healthcare Call Center Associate in Arizona to support patient scheduling and insurance verification. The role operates as contract-to-hire with shift coverage during business hours within an AZ-based framework.

Responsibilities include handling high-volume calls, scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers, and following clinical guidelines. Prior MA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of healthcare call center experience handling high volume inbound calls with performance metrics.
• Experience scheduling patient appointments and verifying insurance.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required; MA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen and process a high volume of incoming calls in a professional manner.
• Direct access to the practice by scheduling and canceling patient appointments for multiple providers.
• Utilize a phone script, clinical decision trees and scheduling criteria per department guidelines.
• Communicate complex exam preparations instructions to patients and ordering physicians' offices.
