Job summary

Cardinal Health's Individualized Care team enables patient access to therapy through Reimbursement Support Services. The Coordinator guides patients through intake, benefits investigation, and coordination with payers, pharmacies, and physicians to ensure timely coverage and dispensing.

The role mediates complex payer issues, ensuring a positive patient experience. Strong customer service and technical knowledge are essential for successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Ability to work Monday-Friday between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM CST.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an in-depth understanding of patient therapy, prior approvals and reimbursement processes.
• Manages a queue of complex reimbursement questions and provides resolution within authority.
• Meets KPIs for service levels, call volumes, adherence and quality standards.
• Follows up with patients, pharmacies, physicians and support organizations as needed.
• Handles sensitive information with discretion including prescriptions and insurance data.
• Escalates highly complex issues to senior team members.
