Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator to join our team. This hybrid role, preferred in Wilmington, DE, supports strategic and tactical estimation across capital and non-capital projects with cross-site collaboration and occasional travel.

Requirements include 7+ years in petrochemical estimating, experience with Aspen tools, and the ability to work across levels and time zones. Proximity to Chemours sites is valued for in-person meetings and project execution.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator.
• Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours.
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and be able to commute to any of our facilities within the region as business needs require. While the role offers flexibility, proximity to Chemours sites is important to support in-person collaboration, project activities, and stakeholder meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual estimates for early investment options.
• Prepare all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensure estimates meet industry quality requirements for each project gate step.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans through project implementation.
• Maintain estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assist Risk Competency Leads and discuss estimate impacts with the risk process.
• Compile benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge performance.
