Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks a Capital Project Estimator for a hybrid role, preferably Wilmington, DE, with travel to sites as needed. You will develop estimates from concept to authorization and support multiple teams, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency across capital projects.

Requirements include 7+ years in petrochemical/industrial estimating, proficiency in Aspen tools, and strong communication to influence stakeholders; remote work options exist within regional sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator.
• Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours.
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and commute to Chemours facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates are appropriately developed and meet industry quality requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads as required and contributes to estimate impacts relevant to risk process.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge performance.
