Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator for a remote/hybrid role, with a preference for Wilmington, DE locations. The position requires substantial estimating experience in petrochemical or heavy industrial settings and proficiency with major estimating tools.

You will support multiple teams, develop cost estimates across project life cycles, and help optimize project costs. Responsibilities include leading early estimate efforts, maintaining cost libraries, and contributing

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Experience in estimating industry cost bases and different project stages.
• Ability to interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside Chemours.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates are appropriately developed and meet industry requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads as required and contributes to discussions on estimate impacts.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge performance.
