Job summary

The Chemours Company seeks a Capital Project Estimator for a hybrid role preferred in Wilmington, DE, with flexibility for other sites. Responsibilities include developing all levels of project estimates, targeting competitive solutions, and supporting risk management.

7+ years of estimating in petrochemical or heavy industries is required, with Aspen Cost Estimator skills and time-zone proximity to Central/Eastern US. Travel to multiple locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost Estimator.
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and be able to commute to Chemours facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates meet industry quality requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads as required and contributes to estimate impacts in the risk process.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital activities to gauge estimate performance.
