Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator for a hybrid role, primarily remote within the US with occasional site travel. The position emphasizes developing all levels of estimates throughout the project life cycle and supporting multiple teams.

Required are 7+ years in petrochemical or heavy industrial estimating, proficiency with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost estimator, and the ability to influence stakeholders across levels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours.
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and be able to commute to facilities within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates are developed to meet industry quality requirements for each project gate.
• Generates cost reduction concepts and improves work processes to enhance efficiency.
• Leads execution of early estimate plans through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Distributes benchmark data to gauge performance and promote continuous improvement.
