Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator for a hybrid role, with Wilmington, DE preferred but other sites possible. You will deliver estimates across project life cycles, support multiple teams, and help drive cost efficiency.

Requires 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical or heavy industry, familiarity with Aspen tools, and the ability to collaborate across levels and sites. Central or Eastern time zones preferred for commuting to facilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and quickly initiate changes in plan when appropriate.
• Experience in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator
• Experience in Aspen In Plant Cost estimator
• Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels within and outside of Chemours
• Candidates must be based within the Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and be able to commute to any of our facilities within the region as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates are appropriately developed and meet industry issued quality requirements for each step in the project gate process.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improved work processes to improve project efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans and updates through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Assists Risk Competency Leads as required and contributes to the discussion on estimate impacts applicable to the risk process.
• Compile and distribute benchmark/metric data for capital and non-capital related activities to effectively gauge estimate performance/competitiveness and promote continuous improvement.
