Cengage is seeking a strategic and operational Director of Campaign Operations to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of marketing programs, maturing the campaign operations ecosystem, and driving growth.

The leader will build a modern production model balancing rigor with flexibility and personalization at scale. This is a remote role with occasional travel and reports to the VP of Marketing Operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in marketing operations or related field.
• Experience leading teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience building scalable campaign production models.
• Strong understanding of personalization and customer journeys.
• Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience improving operational efficiency, campaign velocity, quality, and time-to-market.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise campaign operations strategy and operating model.
• Lead a production model balancing internal teams and external resources.
• Establish planning standards, templates, workflows, and reusable components.
• Drive metrics on campaign production timelines, velocity, and quality.
• Guide governance for campaign platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Workfront.
• Partner with Marketing, Revenue, Digital, and Product to align priorities with growth objectives.
