Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or related training.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Pass pre-employment testing including drug, physical and fit-for-duty assessments.
• Ability to work in a team and stand for long shifts in remote camp settings.

Responsibilities

• Assists cooks and coordinates activities within a food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness in kitchen and service areas.
• Wash dishes and manage storage and organizing of supplies.
• Assist with large cleaning projects and respond to safety concerns.
• Set up and break down tables, snack bars, and serving lines.
• Travel to remote camps as required and comply with safety guidelines.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
