Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a California Employment Attorney for a remote contract assignment anticipated to last approximately 2 to 6 months. The attorney will support a single client with a high-volume, revolving portfolio of employment-related matters and will play a key role in managing claims from pre-litigation through the litigation process when necessary.

The ideal candidate holds active California Bar membership, resides in California, and has at least 4 years of California

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership required.
• Reside in California and practice California employment law.
• Minimum of 4 years of California employment law experience.
• Experience in-house or at a law firm in employment law.
• Experience handling employment litigation, including research, motions, pleadings, briefs, and depositions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of California employment law claims, from pre-litigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and litigation documents per California law.
• Take and defend depositions and support all phases of litigation when settlement is not possible.
• Evaluate claims, develop case strategy, and participate in settlement negotiations.
