Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Business Development Manager with strong utility, high-voltage and sales experience to drive growth in energy and data center markets. You will manage research, analyze, and develop new business opportunities, create revenue plans, expand product lines, and improve customer satisfaction.

You will analyze growth, identify opportunities, and strengthen Wesco's competitive position through strategic partnerships and market expansion. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5 years required, 6+ years preferred experience directly related to position.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
• Strong knowledge of industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to expand profitability.
• Retain and expand existing relationships and offerings, solicit new business.
• Oversee development to identify new markets and increase market share.
• Establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers; arrange meetings.
• Call on existing or prospective customers within the business development program.
• Lead acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures and startups when applicable.
• Conduct rollout meetings at key customer locations.
• Lead local implementation teams (LIT).
• Find cost savings related to direct and indirect spend and value-add services programs.
• Create and implement account development activities including product gap identification.
• Conduct internal and customer training sessions on account and customer processes.
