Job summary

RWE America­s, LLC is hiring a Business Development Manager for Flexible Generation to originate and develop data center energy campus opportunities in the U.S. This role focuses on building relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and coordinating with internal teams to align utility-scale needs with RWE FlexGen capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in the U.S. electric power sector, experience with at least one major utility or IPP, and a track record of leveraging networks

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline including business administration, economics, engineering, etc.
• 5+ years experience in the U.S. electric power sector or related field
• Experience with leading U.S. utility/IPP, hyperscaler/co-lo/neocloud or data center developer
• Demonstrated achievements leveraging relationships and industry networks to create opportunities
• Deep knowledge of the U.S. power sector or data center market
• Commercial negotiations experience preferred
• Professional experience at the intersection of power sector and data center demand preferred
• Strong relationship building and industry networking capabilities

Responsibilities

• Create and build relationships across energy and data center ecosystem for FlexGen development objectives
• Manage commercial progress from conception to term sheet and negotiations with hyperscalers and data centers
• Research market intelligence from public sources and direct relationships
• Maintain relationships with utilities, coops, munis and other load-serving entities for insights and opportunities
• Increase visibility of FlexGen and energy campus capabilities through outreach and events
• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape opportunities meeting customer needs
