Job summary

Safety & Security International (SSI) is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive acquisition of accelerated equipment and logistics solutions for enhanced defense survivability. You will build new customer accounts in a defined territory and pursue new sales opportunities while aligning products and contracts.

Travel up to 50% is required; local or remote candidates are welcome. The role reports to the Managing Director of DoD Growth and Engagement and includes a competitive compensation

Qualifications

• 3 years of sales or similar customer support experience.
• 3 years using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to present to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple accounts and projects.

Responsibilities

• Initiate communication with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
• Guide new customers on contract vehicle requirements.
• Identify and suggest products and service solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Manage reports of sales activities including calls, orders, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates and internal departments to address customer needs.
• Negotiate pricing, payment, and delivery terms with vendors.
• Support territory teammates with building quotes as needed.
• Achieve annual sales margin target.
