Job summary

Vaisala is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in data center power infrastructure from a fully remote base in the U.S. You will target utilities, EPCs, and data center operators, coordinating with global teams to close deals.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical utilities or related sectors, strong presentation skills, and the ability to travel up to 50%. A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical utility industry or commercial infrastructure with business development and sales.
• Experience with utilities, data center operators, EPCs, or power equipment manufacturers.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to power transformers, switchgear, and facility reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand client base in data center power infrastructure.
• Identify, target, and acquire new clients among data center operators, hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, and EPCs.
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial contact to negotiations and closure; collaborate with Power and Industrial sales teams.
