ProAg, a member of Tokio Marine HCC, is seeking a remote Business Development Manager to drive growth across the eastern region with significant travel (up to 70%). You will recruit and partner with crop insurance agents in South Dakota or Iowa, building strategic relationships and delivering tailored solutions to meet business goals.

We value a bachelor’s in business/marketing, 6+ years in sales, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 6 years of sales experience.
• Crop insurance experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, confidentiality and diplomacy.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with crop insurance agents in SD or IA and recruit them.
• Grow business with current agents and place more of their business.
• Identify agents that fit culture, profitability, and geography to grow profitable business.
• Travel extensively to meet sales goals.
• Drive growth through agent-focused marketing and advisory services.
• Pursue new business opportunities via cold calling, networking, trade shows, partnerships.
• Monitor competitors/industry trends to shape competitive advantage.
• Collaborate across sales, marketing, product, finance, and operations.
