Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements and to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across multi-domain environments.

Reporting to Applications Engineering, you will support field trials, competitive benchmarking, and RFI/RFP responses, traveling up to 50% to customer sites and labs while coordinating with BD and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech; OR HS diploma with 5+ years experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test are required.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and BD to bring data to roadmap decisions.
• Support BD in technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present demos for low-signature, resilient, tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Research potential integrations with industry partners and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with USSOCOM PEO-SOF Digital Applications / PEO-C4 and SOFWERX leads.
• Gather field feedback to translate needs into roadmap inputs.
• Travel 50% to customer sites and testing environments.
