Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements, supporting field trials, demonstrations, and strategic planning. You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to showcase interoperability and field-readiness of the StreamCaster MANET radios across domains.

Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with remote options depending on location; a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles.
• Alternate: High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communication systems is preferred.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required; background check and drug test clearance are mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps, SOF-peculiar requirements, and tactical edge network goals.
• Plan network configurations and lead live field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify solution architectures are technically sound.
• Align with Business Development to meet ongoing technical needs and priorities.
• Develop technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input and review.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations with partners and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with USSOCOM and component commands to translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
