Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF technology with USSOCOM needs. You will work with engineering and business development to showcase interoperability and field readiness of StreamCaster radios for multi-domain, tactical edge, and uncrewed environments.

You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location. This role reports to the Director of Applications Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify proposed architectures are technically sound and aligned with priorities.
• Assist in building technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Travel to customer sites and laboratories for demonstrations and testing.
