Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USSOCOM requirements. You will work with Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability, low-signature performance, and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across multi-domain environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsabilités

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify proposed architectures are technically sound.
• Support the Business Development team to align technical efforts with strategic priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for low-signature, resilient, and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and market research for new integrations.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites, labs, and field-testing environments.
