Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for USSOCOM to bridge RF capabilities with customer requirements. You will work with Engineering and Business Development teams to demonstrate interoperability, field-readiness, and low-signature performance of StreamCaster radios in multi-domain environments.

The role involves travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, with a 100% remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Travel to customer sites and labs up to 50% of the time.
