Job summary

Boyd, a world-leading sustainable engineered materials company, seeks a Business Development Executive to drive revenue growth. You will identify new customers, build relationships, and educate clients on Boyd’s capabilities across manufacturing sectors.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations, lead market analysis and strategy, and manage quotations and pricing to maximize revenue while growing gross margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
• 4-5 years related experience in a technical selling role within manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
• Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies including market analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Experience working with CRM software to track performance and manage customer relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to travel as needed, including international.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding into new markets and industries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations to support sales initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices to inform sales strategies.
• Develop and execute strategies for increased customer penetration by selling additional products and services to all customer divisions.
• Directly engage at customer locations to win incremental business and travel internationally as needed.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to capture all business opportunities and communicate status.
