Keystone Building Consultants is seeking experienced professionals in construction, insurance appraisal, or mitigation to join our team as Building Consultants. This fully remote, part-time, 1099-contract position focuses on evaluating property damage, preparing estimates and reports, and delivering expert insights for insurance carriers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in general contracting, construction, or mitigation.
• Contractor’s license where required by state.
• Hands-on insurance repairs or claims estimating experience.
• Proficient with construction estimating and related software.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assignments promptly and schedule inspections within 24 hours.
• Conduct onsite property inspections within 7 days of assignment.
• Access rooftops, crawlspaces, and challenging environments for evaluations.
• Prepare detailed reports and cost estimates using Xactimate or similar.
• Collaborate with Managing Building Consultant during review and approval.
• Occasionally travel for CAT event evaluations.
• Communicate with policyholders, engineers, and claim adjusters.
• Provide expert testimony when required.
